Starting out here a definition-
Word definitions in essence are truth. They are the body of real things, and are simply facts. The trouble in truth comes not in defining it but, by hearing, sharing and applying it in life. More-over, walking in truth has a completely different application for Christians who are under God's law and His law of love.

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
1st John 3:18
In my circles, and starting in our home I have seen an absence of truth. We I gloss and paint over unloving behavior as though it is a natural state and things just will never get better. In my own past I have painted with a brush of selfishness and pride as I lived my life. The canvas of my heart is a pretty splotchy thing as I look at it.
I have experienced having truth shown to me. It comes in the form of a pinching question.... a question that when asked allows me to explore my motives. The Holy Spirit shines a light on my darkness.
I am left able to clearly identify an action that was unloving. It is marked with clarity and quick steps to take in repenting so I can turn away from that. It comes without confusion or lack of answers!
However, sharing truth calls for being careful, discreet and precise.
I think back to a favorite movie of mine "Bride and Prejudice" In it, one of the characters shares an over the top disturbing snake charming dance. The guests that are in the home are left covering their mouths giggling and it is a terribly awkward scene. Perhaps this gal did have talent but, this odd performance was completely misplaced.

Truth when it is not time to share it, is equally as disturbing. Bottom line, just because we know something to be true of someone doesn't mean that God has released us to share it!
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15
When I see our truth telling Savior there is so much compassion flowing from him toward his human disciples. He is pouring His truth on them but, I also see him holding a lot of information back. They were not prepared for all that he had to say. When the time was right only then did he reveal what he was going to do.
When we speak truth he is a model and guide.
-Some questions to ask yourself.-
1. Have I asked the Lord for His timing?
2. Am I sharing this to make myself feel better (Get something off my chest)
3. Are there events being set up so I can easily share (Am I forcing this?)
4. If I shared will it add to someones confusion. Will the directions be clear?
These are all the questions to set before the Lord and wait on His answer. We can count on Him to WANT to communicate with us. His desire is for His children. He will show us TRUTH both for us and others.
